Weekends

How is everyone?
I am good and a busy weekend has crept up on me. Today I will be going to the cinemas with my friends for a birthday party. Ten grade 6 girls are meeting at my friend Mikaela's house and will be going to the movies. On Sunday we will be having a Halloween Celebration at my Oma's house. We are having it the day before Halloween so on the Monday we can go Trick Or Treating. I will be going with a few of my friends down the road. I will be dressing up as nothing in particular but having a French braid up the back of my hair tied in a bun and having a "spider" in my hair. Really just some pipe-cleaners and something to make a spiders face. For the Halloween Party

Plant Stall

Hi,

My plant stall is running well and I have made a fair lot of money from it. I have leeks, people take heaps and some flowers, oregano, parsley and some more. I will now have to start watering them regularly considering summer is coming!! It is going very well and some plants are getting ready in the green house. Also I have found a site called Pinterest which is really fun. Search it on Google. It's a site to out everything you find so you don't have to go back or remember websites.

Athletics

Hi,
As you may remember me saying about my districts athletics and moving up to the next level, I did, if you haven't read it you may want to see it first and then come back to this. Click Here To Go To Link. Anyway I went down and it was great, hot weather but really fun. I caught the bus down there and arrived just on time. My event was second of the day at 9:45, it didn't go for too long but I was in triple jump and there were alot if girls also competing against me. I cam 4th out of about 20 girls. You would only move on to the next level if you came 1st or 2nd, and I didn't but some of my friends from the other school did. There was a canteen there and I got some things, it was a very hot day. Even though I thought I had put on sun screen it appeared that I was wrong, It was great fun and a long day!!

Over Flowing

There hasn't been too much going on around my house but I thought I could just write a post about how everything is going. 

Veggie  Gardens: What is there to tell except that they're huge and we are getting alot of use out of them! They're very tall now and some are over flowing our space  for them!! The pics be   easier to see. 

School: At School I have to make a musical instrument for music class, I looked at 4 different ones and two were actually new instruments. I looked at a tambourine because it would be reasonably easy and able to be decorated, a pan flute because it has a good sound and would be fun to make and then the two made up ones. First was based on a set of newton balls which is a frame with balls hanging, you pull the end and the energy travels through the rest and causes the end one to glide through the air and back down knocking the last one over and over again. So I thought if I extended the frames and hung keys of pipe to make chimes on either end, that when you pull the newton balls it would hit the chimes and make a noise. The second made up one, was to attach bells on a pan flute so you could still blow through it and also jiggle it around like a tambourine! In the end I chose a tambourine!

Another sleepover. Last night my cousin, Brittney slept over at my house after the busy day before. We had both of my sisters parties.

Instead Of A Cake At Kata's Party We All Made Cupcakes!

Katarina, the youngest turned 8 and had a very successful bug party. My mum and I organized the party with help from my dad and other sister Elizabeth who turned 10 and had a great disco party! Katarina's party was great and almost everyone turned up. They played pass the parcel and keep the balloon off the ground along with pin the stinger on the bee. There were fun bug related prizes and I think all the kids enjoyed the time! Next up was Elizabeth's party. Her disco party went well. The games played were well done and the party was good. All the kids who came their time!! 2 parties in 1 day was very busy but good because it was all over and done with! That night our cousin stayed over seeing as her younger sister came earlier for Katarina's party! Today we are at our grandma's house keeping her company! Tomorrow we will be going back to school for the last term of this year! Then I will be starting high school. YES!!!

Busy With Sleepovers

Hi,
Well that was a busy time. I have had two sleepovers in a row. First was with my grandma, and then with my friend. At my grandma's house I had fun and we had ravioli for dinner. The next day we went shopping for our Christmas presents, even though it's a little early! We thought that before all the super Christmastime presents came in we would go and chose our presents now and at Christmas we would get them! Then that day I went to my friends house and we watched some movies, we watched, Mean Girls 2 which was funny and Yours, Mine and Ours which was also funny. It was about 2 people a, who wanted to get married and each one had kids. The girl had 10 and the man had 8. They ended up with 18 fighting kids. They fought so much to break up their new parents but as soon as the Dad needs to leave for a military ship they decide they should be a family and the dad leaves his ship to come home! The day after we went down and played outside and then walked around the local street! 

Upsetting News.

Hello everyone,
I have a bit of bad news that I found out at around 4:30 on the 29/9/2011. As I said in my storm post we were visiting the hospital to see our grandpa, we found out today that he was no longer with us. The doctors didn't even expect him to be alive yesterday but he was as well as today but i don't think he felt too good. He wasn't really able to talk and he only said help and muttered words from his original language, German. My Oma (German for grandma) is going to stay the night and she isn't too happy. It's all very sad but I am happy that he doesn't have to live the rest of his life being sick and ill. I guess everyone has to come to the end and that was his time.
