Orienteering!

Hi,
Today I went down to the district orienteering. Our school has now won 18 out of 21 times. We are going really well and have just taken the trophy once again! I was one out of two people chosen to go up and take the trophy to represent our school. The are three groups in each year level starting from grade 3 to enter for boys and girls. Girls A, Girls B and Pairs, Boys A, Boys B and Pairs. I was in the Girls B along with most of my friends and I was lucky enough to win. It took me 37 minutes to complete the large course and the 9 other people behind me took from 40 minutes to an hour or so! There were lots of steep hills but I managed to make my way up them. We had a great day out and have the trophy for our 18th time!

Athletics

Hi,
As you may remember me saying about my districts athletics and moving up to the next level, I did, if you haven't read it you may want to see it first and then come back to this. Click Here To Go To Link. Anyway I went down and it was great, hot weather but really fun. I caught the bus down there and arrived just on time. My event was second of the day at 9:45, it didn't go for too long but I was in triple jump and there were alot if girls also competing against me. I cam 4th out of about 20 girls. You would only move on to the next level if you came 1st or 2nd, and I didn't but some of my friends from the other school did. There was a canteen there and I got some things, it was a very hot day. Even though I thought I had put on sun screen it appeared that I was wrong, It was great fun and a long day!!

Athletics & Softball

Hello,
A few weeks ago my school was doing some sport. We did Athletics as well as a softball day. They were both on separate days. First up was athletics, we caught the bus down to the stadium type thing!!! There were all different events such as jumps, high jump, long jump, triple jump and hurdles. Track events- 100m sprint, 200m, 800 and the furthest, 1500m. The field events were discuss  and shot-put. Plus a relay which was held at the end. I was in a relay, high jump, triple jump and 200m. I got =4th in high jump! 5th in 200m, 5th in the relay and 1st in triple jump. Because I came 1st I move onto the zones which are in October. That is when I compete against all the different areas who came first in triple jump Quite a few people from my school got in zones and will be catching the bus there.
Softball- We caught the bus just like athletics to the field. The mixed team and the girls team split up and went off to their games. The girls won their first game lost the second and third and lost but not by far to the best team in the area. There is no more competing for another level and was just too have fun. I heard the boys won 3 and lost 1. That was a better day for them. Softball is a bit like base ball and is very fun. During the day we got hot chips and lots of lollies! In both sporting events we had a great day out. I would also like to thank S.J Young for passing on a blog award. THANK-YOU!!!

Netball Rox

Hi
As you might know, if you read my profile, I play netball. I play it every Saturday against other teams in the area,  I also train every Wednesday. Last Saturday we played against another team and we bet them 14-6. It was the first time we have won a game all season so if we are going to win it's a pretty good score.

Our coaches were so proud of us we had a huge party and we played alot of games, ate alot of lollies and we were mucking around alot. It was very fun because we got to make up a theme song for our team (Our team is called the Cats). This is how it goes,

This is our theme song (Clap, Clap)
It is totally awesome (Clap, Clap)
With all our effort we play (Clap, Clap)
We are surely to win today (Clap, Clap)

It's really fun and great to sing when we compete on Saturdays!!

Tomorrow we are going to go play all day in a tournament and I will do a post tomorrow. Sorry got to go to play netball!

Bye
